Visibility in search rests on three things: technical foundations, the right content and measurement. No method guarantees a ranking.

  1. 01

    Technical foundation

Every page needs one canonical address, a meaningful title and description, and measured load speed and mobile layout. Language versions must point at each other, and unpublished pages must stay out of the index.

  2. 02

    Content

A page that answers the question people actually ask works better than repeating keywords. Keep one clear page per service; splitting one topic across two pages weakens both.

  3. 03

    Local visibility

Address, phone and opening hours must read the same everywhere, and the map listing must not contradict the site. Naming the area you serve on the page beats vague phrasing.

  4. 04

    Measurement

Rank tracking alone is not enough; follow which page receives which query and what that visit leads to. Without a measurement tool, the effect of the work stays a matter of opinion.

  5. 05

    Site structure and internal links

A search engine can only find a page if something links to it. Link from each service page to its detail pages, and from each article to the service it belongs to. Make the link text the name of the destination, not "click here". Any page deeper than three clicks belongs either in the menu or on a list page.

  6. 06

    Multilingual sites

Each language should live at its own address, and the pages should point at each other with hreflang, plus an x-default for visitors who match none of them. Publishing raw machine translation hurts: someone who speaks the language should read the text first. Do not force a redirect based on browser language; leave the choice to the visitor.

  7. 07

    Common mistakes

The usual ones: the same text repeated at several addresses, a live page still blocked from indexing, images without alt text, and identical titles everywhere. Then there is impatience: a change takes weeks to show in search, and restructuring every week makes measurement impossible. Treat any offer that guarantees a ranking as a warning sign.
