Tilda or Webflow?
Short answer: for those who want to quickly build a stylish brochure or campaign page from ready-made blocks, Tilda is easier and is widely used in the Russian-speaking market. For those who want to control every detail of the design, build a large site with a content management system and set up a clean workflow between designers and developers, Webflow is more powerful but takes longer to learn. The target market and payment options also directly affect the decision.
| Criterion | Tilda | Webflow |
|---|---|---|
| Design approach | Building pages from ready-made blocks; Zero Block for free-form design. | Control over every detail using HTML and CSS logic in a visual editor. |
| Learning curve | Short; even people without design knowledge build pages quickly. | Longer; knowing web design and layout concepts is an advantage. |
| Content management | Basic tools for blogs and feeds; limited for large content structures. | Powerful CMS collections; dynamic page templates. |
| E-commerce and payments | Store and cart; many payment systems such as Stripe, PayPal and CloudPayments. | E-commerce plans; payments through Stripe and PayPal. |
| Code export | Only on the Business plan. | On paid workspace plans; CMS, e-commerce and forms do not work in exported code. |
| Who is it for? | Brochure and campaign pages, small shops, the Russian-speaking market. | Design-led corporate sites, large content sites, design teams. |

The difference between assembling blocks and designing
In Tilda, a page is built by stacking ready-made, consistently designed blocks; text and images are replaced and the result looks tidy in a short time. When a more original design is needed, elements can be placed freely with Zero Block. Webflow works like a design tool: boxes, layout, typography and interactions are built one by one using HTML and CSS logic. This power gives control over every detail of the design, but it takes time and skill.

Content and growth
Where the site will grow to hundreds of articles, products or project pages, Webflow's CMS collections and dynamic templates provide a clear advantage: a template is designed once and filled with content from the collection. Tilda has blog and feed tools, but they are more limited for complex content relationships and large numbers of dynamic pages. For brochure sites of a few pages and campaign pages, Tilda's speed is often more valuable.
- 03
Code export and lock-in
On both platforms the site works best on the platform's own hosting. Tilda offers code export only on its Business plan. In Webflow, code export is on paid workspace plans, and according to Webflow's own documentation, CMS content, e-commerce, forms, site search and localised content do not work in exported code; they need additional solutions. In both cases, export is a static copy of the design rather than full portability.

Payment options and market
Alongside international systems such as Stripe and PayPal, payment systems common in Russia such as CloudPayments can be connected to Tilda. Webflow's e-commerce payments run through Stripe and PayPal. PayPal stopped its services in Russia in 2022 and Stripe does not support businesses in Russia, so Webflow's built-in payment options are not practical for a shop selling in Russia. In Europe and other markets, both platforms' payment options are widely used.
- 05
SEO and speed
On both platforms you can configure basic SEO settings such as titles, descriptions, URLs and redirects. Webflow offers more control over technical SEO with the clean code it generates and its detailed settings. In Tilda, many heavy blocks and large images can slow a page down, so image sizes and the number of blocks should be monitored. On both platforms, what really determines rankings is how well the content answers the search query.

Doki's impartial note
A brochure or campaign page that needs to go live quickly, especially for the Russian-speaking market, is built economically and fast with Tilda. For a site where design matters, content will grow and a team will manage it, Webflow is a more solid foundation. In both cases, decide knowing that the site will remain tied to the platform; if you need custom business rules, a panel or deep integration, let us consider custom development instead of a website builder together.
