The rules explaining under what conditions, within what period and how a customer can return a product they bought, and how the money will be refunded.

Why it matters
A clear return policy makes the buying decision easier; especially for clothing and shoes, customers want to know in advance whether they can return. In Turkey, consumers have a legal right of withdrawal in distance sales, and the policy must comply with those rules. An easy return process also increases repeat purchases.

Example
A shoe shop adds “free returns within 14 days” and the return steps to its product pages. Return questions to customer service decrease and the share of first-time buyers rises.

Common mistake
Burying return terms only inside the contract text. If customers cannot see the information on the product and basket pages, they may abandon the purchase or a dispute arises later.
