Accessibility audit and remediation

An accessible site means that people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities can also find information, fill in forms and buy. We audit your site against WCAG 2.2 AA with an automated scan and manual testing, report the findings by severity, fix them in the code and retest. In Türkiye Circular 2025/10, and in Europe the European Accessibility Act, have made this mandatory for many organisations and businesses.

  • WCAG 2.2 AA audit
  • Findings report by severity
  • Fixes in the code
  • Accessibility statement
01 / What this service includes

Measurable, fixable, sustainable.

01

Automated scan and manual testing

Automated tools find only some of the problems. We test each page type by hand using only the keyboard, with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver, at 200% zoom and with colour contrast measurements; forms and the checkout step are tested separately.

02

A report by severity

For each finding we record the WCAG criterion, the affected page and element, a screenshot, who is affected and how, and how to fix it. Problems that stop users from completing a task, such as a form that cannot be submitted or a menu that cannot be opened with the keyboard, come first.

03

Fixes, retest and statement

Our own development team makes the fixes in the theme and the code; we do not recommend accessibility overlays. We then retest and prepare the accessibility statement for your site: the conformance status, known limitations and a feedback channel.

02 / How it works

How a finding gets fixed

The scan shows where to look, manual testing proves the problem; the fix is made in the code and confirmed by a retest.

03 / Scope

Let's define the scope together.

We clarify the scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria together in the first meeting. The written quote lists that scope item by item; if the scope changes, the quote is updated as a new version.

An accessibility audit does not include a guarantee of conformance; the tested scope, the findings and the fixes made are documented in a report.

Deliverables

  • 01WCAG 2.2 AA audit
  • 02Findings report by severity
  • 03Fixes in the code
  • 04Accessibility statement
04 / Process

How we move forward, step by step.

Each step ends with something concrete in your hands; we move on with your approval.

  1. 01

    Automated scan

We scan all page types with automated tools and map where the problems concentrate.

  2. 02

    Manual testing

We test each page type with the keyboard, a screen reader, zoom and colour contrast checks, and record the findings with screenshots.

  3. 03

    Fixing

We fix the findings in order of severity in the theme and the code; for problems that come from content, such as alt texts, we give your team guidelines.

  4. 04

    Retest and statement

We retest the fixes and write the result and any known limitations into the accessibility statement.

05 / Decision details

What to know before you ask for a quote.

What is included, what we need from you, timing and payment, all in one place. The exact scope and price are set in the written quote.

Included

  • An automated scan of all page types.
  • Keyboard, screen reader (NVDA, VoiceOver), 200% zoom and colour contrast testing of the page types in scope.
  • A report by severity with the WCAG criterion, the affected element, a screenshot and a suggested fix.
  • Fixing the findings in the theme and the code, with guidelines for your team on content-related problems.
  • The accessibility statement: conformance status, known limitations and a feedback channel.

Not included

  • No guarantee of conformance; official monitoring and enforcement are the job of the relevant authorities.
  • No accessibility overlay is installed; problems are fixed at the source.

What we need from you

  • Access to a staging environment or the live site, and a test account for areas that require a login.
  • A list of the page types to audit and, if there is a checkout, a test mode so it can be tried.

Timing and delivery

  • The timeline is agreed in the scoping call, based on the number of page types and the scope of the fixes.

What sets the price

  • The number of page types and templates to audit.
  • Whether we or your team make the fixes, and how the code is built.

Payment and aftercare

  • Periodic rechecks as new pages and features are added (optional).
  • For work agreed in person, the full fee is paid at the start.
  • For remote work, half is paid at the start and half on delivery.
  • We respond to every request within 12 hours.
  • Meetings are held in Turkish; correspondence and deliverables are handled in the language of your choice with translation support.
  • We work in person in Istanbul and remotely across Türkiye and worldwide.
06 / FAQ

The questions on your mind.

Tell us what you need; we will define the scope together.

Tell us about your project
Do you guarantee that our site will fully conform to WCAG?

No. An audit records the state of the tested pages on that day; the result can change as new pages, content or features are added. Official monitoring and enforcement are the job of the relevant authorities. We document the scope we tested, the findings and the fixes we made in a report.

Wouldn't an accessibility overlay be enough?

No. Toolbars added on top of a page offer settings such as text size or colours, but they do not fix the problems in the source code: an unlabelled field, a nameless button or a menu that cannot be opened with the keyboard stays as it is. WCAG conformance is achieved in the page itself, which is why we fix the problems in the code.

Do you test every single page?

We pick representative samples of each page type: the home page, a product or service page, listings and search, forms and the checkout step. Pages built from the same template usually share the same problems, so fixing the template fixes all of them. The list of pages is agreed together in the scoping call.
