I added my business to Google Maps but it's not showing up — how do I verify it and get customers to see it?

we recetnly opened a private clinic and wellness center in the Olaya district of Riyadh. we spent around 250,000 SAR on renovations and medical equipment, and we've been open for three weeks now but the first thing I did was add the business on Google Maps, completely filling out the name, business hours, location pin, and phone number.

even though 20 days have passed, the business doesnt appear on the map at all but if I search the exact business name letter for letter it only shows up as a faint gray pin with an unverified warning. honestly for broad searches like physical therapy or wellness clinic theres zero visibility.

the system requested a video verification so I uploaded a video showing our clinic signage and operating license but its been stuck on "under review" for two weeks but honestly how do we get this profile active and verified?

Short answer: The primary reason your business doesn't show up in map searches is that verification hasn't been completed yet; unverified businesses are not indexed by the local search algorithm and only appear in limited direct-name searches. You cannot rank in local searches until the profile is verified.

Your video verification being stuck for two weeks is likely due to the backlog of manual reviews in Saudi Arabia. To unblock this, follow these steps: 1) Open a ticket directly through the support dashboard to get a case ID, attaching clear photos of your municipal license and commercial registration certificate to the form. 2) If the video is rejected or there's no reply request a live video call verification; an agent will want to see your clinic signage medical equipment, and street number in real time.

Once verification goes through, your visibility won't skyrocket overnight. To gain traction in the algorithm, set your primary category to your exact specialty write detailed business descriptions in both Arabic and English post weekly updates, and ask actual patients for reviews. In competitive markets like Riyadh, ranking near the top of local search usually takes 4 to 8 weeks of consistent reviews and local signals.

Video verification across the Gulf has gotten extremely strict over the past year. If you didn't capture the street sign, the exterior building signage showing the legal trade name, and your license next to the reception desk all in one continuous take, it will get rejected. Submit your commercial registration through the support form and appeal it.

Google applies additional scrutiny to healthcare businesses. The trade name on your Ministry of Health permit and municipal license must match your Google Maps listing character for character. Even a slight discrepancy can suspend the verification process.

Go check your business profile right now, and if the video is still under review, do NOT edit anything. Changing even a single letter resets the review timer and throws you back to the end of the queue. Just reach out through the official support form.

We waited 18 days for a video review for our store in the Malaz area in Riyadh, only for it to be rejected. We ended up sending our official registration docs to support and requested a live video call. The agent verified everything in a 4-minute call, and we showed up on maps 3 days later.

People think adding it means it's done but technically the listing isn't complete until it's verified. Also, if you picked a generic parent category you won't rank for specific queries. Your primary category is everything, and secondary categories need to be filled out carefully too.

We dealt with the exact same thing at a clinic last month. The outdoor sign was in English but the commercial register was in Arabic so the AI couldn't match them and flagged it. Once we added the name from the official documents as the secondary language on the listing, it got approved right away.

did you show the street sign and building number while recording the video? btw if you only film the inside they assume it's a fake business and put it on hold you gotta do a continuous walk from the outside in.

I agree. People defend habits not processes. Resistance comes from there.

Thats all sorry if I went on too long.

Let me share my experience. Don't hesitate to ask; those who don't ask always pay more.

This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

Exactly like that. Ranking is the result, search intent is the input. Look at intent first.

Hope this helps.

There are three things to check when doing this. A page with low traffic might be reaching the right people. Look at where sales come from.

When making a decision, first look at what data you have on hand.

I'm writing this so you don't make the same mistake. When making decisions, write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Saved. When making a decision first look at what data you have on hand.

Good luck with that.

Do you think this works at any scale? Most time waste accumulates in tasks waiting for approval.

A page that answers one question works better than one touching on five topics. If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.

i went through the same thing two years ago. the answer varies greatly by industry; there is no one-size-fits-all rule.

correct me if I'm wrong.
