If we buy an AI SEO tool — how different is it from human-written content?

Were an 8-person custom wooden office furniture maker based in Siteler Ankara. Our site runs on WordPress and we have around 40 products listed. To rank better in search results, we want to publish blog posts and detailed category landing pages. Last month we met with a content agency, and they quoted us 18,000 TL per month for 12 blog posts plus product descriptions. That is way over our current monthly marketing budget.

I keep seeing ads on social media for AI-powered SEO content platforms. btw with subscriptions running between 800 and 1,500 TL a month they claim to handle keyword research and pump out dozens of articles in minutes. Does it make sense to buy one of these tools and generate all our content purely through the software?

What is the practical difference between content written by an AI versus a human copywriter? Is it actually possible to rank on search engines without hiring an editor, or do algorithms penalize this kind of text?

Short answer: AI SEO tools can synthesize existing web data into readable prose, but they cannot replicate field experience, hands-on product details, or specific customer pain points unique to your trade. Rather than replacing a human writer entirely, these tools work best as assistants to generate outlines and speed up research; relying solely on raw AI output makes ranking difficult due to lack of depth.

Search engines focus on whether content satisfies search intent and provides actual value not on who or what authored it. The real gap between AI and human writing shows up in 'depth.' For instance, an algorithm can only churn out generic fluff about walnut-veneer conference tables, but it won't know the real-world assembly challenges, actual scratch resistance or how the finish looks under fluorescent office lighting—insights your workshop craftsmen know instinctively.

The primary risk of simply clicking generate and pasting the text directly to your site is getting caught in 'unhelpful content' quality filters. Even if search engines don't flag the page as outright spam, they'll push it down the rankings because it offers nothing distinct from the hundreds of other sites targeting the exact same query.

The smartest workflow is using the software to cluster keyword themes, map out section headings, and produce a rough initial draft. After that you or someone from your team must step in to add real product dimensions behind-the-scenes shop photos, and answers to common customer objections.

Six months ago on our own website, we published 30 raw AI drafts as-is, and another 30 that we heavily edited with our own product insights. The edited pages broke into the top 10 and generated real leads, while the untouched ones never made it past page 5. What moved the needle was injecting genuine firsthand details into the copy.

tools are ok for a rough draft but they repeat the exact same clichés every time. i mean fills the page with corporate fluff like 'in today's modern world choosing the right office furniture is crucial'. customers get bored and bounce right off the site anyway.

You mentioned wanting 12 articles a month, but are you actively keeping track of the questions your prospects ask right before pulling the trigger? No AI tool is going to magically know the specific objections you handle on the phone unless you feed it to them yourself.

If 18.000 TL is over your budget, don't work with that agency, but don't fall for the fantasy of paying 1.000 TL for a tool and leaving everything to it either. Use the tool to generate outlines, then set aside 2 hours a week to flesh out that draft with your own industry knowledge. That's the most cost-effective and solid way to go.

Run AI output through these three checks before publishing it on your site: 1) Are the industry-specific technical terms used correctly? 2) Does the piece look like a simple rehash of some other site on the web, or is it actually talking about your product? 3) Does it give the reader truly actionable advice?

AI tool ads claim you'll 'rank #1 with a single click,' but everyone is using those same tools. If everyone generates articles with the same tool for the exact same keyword, which one is the search engine supposed to rank first? Content that isn't original will never hold up in the long run.

Grab a monthly subscription to a tool, generate your topics and outlines. Then add real photos of the furniture you actually build, your delivery times, and warranty terms to those posts before publishing. You'll save time and keep from blowing your budget.

when making a decision first look at what data you have on hand and honestly thats all sorry if I went on too long.

I was thinking the same thing. Everything goes well for the first three months; problems arise in the fourth.

Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

There's also a measurement aspect to this. Any comment made without a control group is just a guess.

Good luck with that.

Don't miss this: If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong.

We experienced almost the exact same thing last year. Taking notes for two weeks yields better results than a six-month estimate.

Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently.

Following. Speed is a threshold issue; if you're already fast, making it faster changes nothing.

Hope this helps.

If I understood correctly, you're saying: Speed is a threshold issue; if you're already fast, making it faster changes nothing.

There's one point I'm curious about. Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently.

When you try to change everything at once nothing settles.

You're right, I've been down that road too. Updating an existing page yields faster results than creating a new one.

Just leaving this note, it might be useful.
