We have 5 branches — should each show up separately on Google Maps, or should the main page be unified?

We have 5 branches in Istanbul (Beşiktaş, Kadıköy, Ümraniye, etc.). Should I list them all separately on Google Maps? Or is one 'Main Istanbul' listing enough?

What's the right move for GMB (Google My Business) profiles? Should I open a separate profile for each branch? Do I need separate websites?

What's the most effective way to handle local SEO?

Even with multiple branches, each one needs its own Google My Business profile. When each location shows up on Google Maps, you appear in local search — this is super effective for attracting customers.

Structure: 1) Separate GMB profile for each branch (with address, phone, hours). 2) Keep the main website as a hub, link each branch to it (Branches page). 3) Use local keywords on each branch page (like Beşiktaş consulting services). 4) Get local reviews (boosts star rating).

I had 3 branches too. When I opened GMB profiles for each, they all showed up in local search. Reviews increased, and we got direct calls/visits to each branch. Honestly very effective.

separaate gmb profile for each branch and same domain/website is fine but local search improves when profiles are separate.

Multi-Branch Strategy: 1. Separate GMB profile for each branch (verified address) 2. Main website + 'Locations' page 3. Each branch page: /locations/besiktas 4. Local keywords (Istanbul + branch name) 5. Review management (local rating) 6. Accurate contact info (NAP consistency) 7. Schema: LocalBusiness markup

Impact of multi-location GMB: when a customer searches 'consulting near me', the nearest branch is shown. Branches with high reviews have a 70% higher chance of ranking higher.

Multi-branch setup: 1) Open a business account on Google My Business. 2) Add 5 separate location profiles (address, phone). 3) Verify each profile (postcard or phone verification). 4) Create a 'Branches' page on the website. 5) Optimize each branch link (local keyword). 6) Start getting reviews.

I think differently. Everything goes well for the first three months; problems arise in the fourth.

Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

Three different views emerged, they all complement each other. Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way.

If rankings stay the same but clicks drop, the issue isn't your page, but the search result appearance. Proven by experience.

Yes, that's exactly how it is with local seo multiple branches. Map listings bring more business than blog posts for most local businesses.

Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

Let me summarize what's been said so far. If rankings stay the same but clicks drop the issue isn't your page, but the search result appearance.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I partly agree, partly disagree. Everyone rushing into local seo multiple branches gets stuck at the same point.

Discussing numbers without verifying the measurement setup is a waste of time. Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

Exactly, and not many people know this. When making a decision, first look at what data you have on hand.

If I were you, I'd go this route.

You're right. Mistakes made on the local seo multiple branches side are usually reversible but expensive.

Good luck with that.

There are three things to check when doing this. A competitor's ranking might come from years of accumulation, not just their content.

Hope this helps.

correct. tbh when making a decision, first look at what data you have on hand.

if you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong. proven by experience.

There's a trap here, let me mention it. Mistakes made on the local seo multiple branches side are usually reversible but expensive.

That's all sorry if I went on too long.

Could you elaborate on that? Discussing numbers without verifying the measurement setup is a waste of time.

This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.
