Long-tail optimization: 1) Topic article (head) 2) Subheadings/subsections (mid/long-tail). Naturally include variants like 'men's black t-shirt', 'organic cotton t-shirt Istanbul', 'x brand t-shirt affordable price' in the article. 10+ long-tails fit in one article, all can rank.

when we started our long-tail strategy, the 'quality white product' article (low volume) had 0.2% traffic. but after writing 50 long-tail articles the total reached '100+ visitors/month' and sometimes conersion from a single long-tail hits 5% (very specific intent).

lesson: if long-tail isnt accumulated head keywords can be more profitable.

long tail = 3+ words, low volume, low competition. like individually they bring little traffic but if you gather 50-100 it can be better than big keywords. optimize them all.

Head keyword 'Software' = 1M searches high competition. Long-tail 'Django Python web dev Istanbul' = 20 searches 0 competition. Easy to rank top 5 high conversion. 100 long-tails = traffic similar to 'software', but much easier.

Long-tail = specific keyword, low volume, low competition. Accumulation strategy: 100 long-tails = traffic of 1 head keyword but easier ranking.

The opposite happened to me, that's why I'm writing. If rankings stay the same but clicks drop, the issue isn't your page, but the search result appearance.
