i entered my site, browser showed 'this site is not secure' warning. Agency: 'SSL expired, renewal is 50 lira.' How does SSL renewal work during handover?

SSL renewal is either automatic or manual. Good servers renew automatically. If manual the agency should remind. This can also be the client's responsibility (if written in the offer/contract).

Written in contract: 'Is automatic SSL renewal included?' If yes, agency is responsible; if no, client.

Yes, that's exactly how it is with ssl expired site not opening. Processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix.

I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.

my perspective changed after experiencing that... i mean if you don't write this down from the start it leads to arguments later.

most time waste accumulates in tasks waiting for approval. anyway if you have questions write them; Ill answer as best I can.

Sorry but this doesn't apply in every case. Don't hesitate to ask; those who don't ask always pay more.

Implementing a change request process doesn't slow things down, it speeds them up. Just leaving this note, it might be useful.

This is exactly what we experienced. Ask who prepared the quote and who will actually do the work.

Everything goes well for the first three months; problems arise in the fourth. If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.

Exactly like that. Don't hesitate to ask; those who don't ask always pay more.

Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's right. Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

It's rare to find an explanation this clear.

I agree. People defend habits, not processes. Resistance comes from there.

Let me summarize what's been said so far. Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently.

The harder it is to reverse a decision, the slower you should make it. Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

My perspective changed after experiencing that. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.

That's all, sorry if I went on too long.

I'd say don't rush. Every "we'll look at it later" in a meeting means unbilled work.

I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.

I feel the same way. Code without setup documentation isn't yours, even if you have it.

If you post the result here, it will help others too.

there is something to watch out for and tryig to do this alone is the most expensive way.

taking notes for two weeks yields better results than a six-month estimate. i mean just leaving this note it might be useful.

Let me clarify the technical side. If you don't write this down from the start, it leads to arguments later.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
