It's been two months since we launched the site, and we don't even show up when searching for our name — is this normal or did we miss something?

I had the same thing at the beginning. Adding content configuration (schema) helped a bit. But mostly you have to wait until Google finds it itself. Did you run out of patience too? I mean i was found after 3 weeks.

Try these in order: - Is robots.txt correct? - Do you have a sitemap and did you submit it in Search Console? - Do Fetch as Google, is it successful? - Does Search Console show mobile errors? - Are there internal links? Does the site look like a sitemap?

i think the site is blocked in robots.txt. thats usually the case... you should check it imo.

Two months is quite short for a new site. Google usually finds your site within 2-4 weeks, but indexing can take 1-3 months. Until then, you can manually show your page to Google using the Fetch & Render tool in Search Console. After starting this process, also press the 'Request Indexing' button.

What you need to do directly: create a sitemap.xml (containing links to all pages) add it to Google Search Console and submit the sitemap. This usually speeds up the initial discovery. After that check the robots.txt and page description (meta description) texts.

Hmm, isn't not showing up in 2 months really too long? Also that 404 error... if the site has a technical problem Google might give up on indexing it. Talk to your hosting provider.
