Im a ceramicist with my own workshop producing 200-300 items a month. Another ceramicist said 'lets partner up and increase capacity'. They also produce 200-300 items. Total would be 500-600. But how do we organize the division of labor and marketing in a partnership?

If you want to succeed, you have to love the hard part of the job. Don't be sad, just learn.

Procedure: First, create a written policy. Have the customer sign it. Then implement it.

Don't overthink it. Is this really what it means to be a small business owner? Like, what were you expecting?

Stats: Hiring staff increases costs by 40%, but output can increase by 60%. Net: +20%.

bro i've been doing this for 20 years, here's my advice: don't overthink it. I mean just do what you gotta do and go.

Professional advice: Do process planning. Define the duration of each stage and tell the customer. Good luck.

I'd say don't rush. Give trial work but pay for it; free trials don't bind anyone.

To get into the details: When listing, put proof that the product actually works at the very top.

This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

Good call starting this thread. Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once.

This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

I have a question. Mistakes made on the ceramic workshop partnership side are usually reversible but expensive.

The real issue isn't the number, but what it's based on. Proven by experience.

Thanks for writing this, that's the right way. When listing put proof that the product actually works at the very top.

Most time waste accumulates in tasks waiting for approval. Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

I've been down this road, let me tell you. like if IP assignment to the company isn't written from the start, it can't be collected later.

You're right, I've been down that road too. Everyone rushing into ceramic workshop partnership gets stuck at the same point.

Are you looking for a partner or a co-founder? They are two different things. If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.

I feel the same way. People defend habits, not processes. Resistance comes from there.

If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.
