Project manager hasn't replied in 2 weeks — who should I call urgently?

There should be a secondary contact person listed (president, director). Send a written email: 'urgent, manager unreachable.' It's normal to ask for a reply within 24 hours.

I completely agree. Weekly written progress reports are much more useful than asking for dates.
Proven by experience.
Theres also a measurement aspect to this. Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way.
When making a decision first look at what data you have on hand. If I were you, I'd go this route.

Thanks for writing this, that's the right way. If scope grows, either time or budget must grow. There is no third option.
Quick summary for newcomers: When we decide without measuring, we always end up in the same place.
Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

Just a heads-up. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.
This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

I'd appreciate it if you shared the outcome. The real issue isn't the number but what it's based on.
If I were you, Id go this route.

i have a question but when making a decision first look at what data you have on hand.
payment schedules should be tied to project phases not caalendar dates.
I partly agree, partly disagree. If you don't write this down from the start, it leads to arguments later.
If you post the result here, it will help others too.
I felt relieved reading this answer, so it's not just me. Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once.
That's all, sorry if I went on too long.

I have an objection here. The system lives on after delivery; maintenance is a separate line item.
Solutions that work at a small scale collapse when you grow; I learned this late. Hope this helps.

My questions are cleared up, thanks. People defend habits, not processes. Resistance comes from there.
Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way. Hope this helps.
