A sales and marketing expert came and offered to become a partner in the company. They'll bring clients from their own network, won't ask for a salary, and we agreed to share revenues. But how should we set up the sharing model? How should a clear contract be written?
Marketing person joined, will work entirely on a transition basis, how should we split revenues
Revenue sharing model: 1- Define the base (client's gross revenue) 2- Define the commission (10-30%, depending on the sector), 3- Set the payment timing (end of month 30 days etc.) 4- Determine extra costs (who pays for marketing expenses) 5- Set minimum performance (e.g. min. 20k lira monthly).
Must be in writing in the contract: 1- What is paid and when, 2- What is deducted (refunds returns) 3- How it's tracked (system), 4- Which clients they have rights to 5- What happens upon separation.

rvenue sharing contract: 1- Define client ownership (e.g. 30% brought by marketer), 2- Clarify commission (e.g., 20% to marketer 5% to company from this client) 3- Keep monthly settlements in writing, 4- Make payments via transfer or check (documentation), 5- Include an annual review.

I'm curious: how will you track the clients that marketer brings in? Do you have a CRM or will you track manually? Because you need to solve the tracking issue first.

Bro the revenue sharing model works! Getting sales without paying a salary is very healthy. But a written contract is crucial otherwise things get messy later. Hire a lawyer write a contract and be done with it!
The opposite happened to me, that's why I'm writing. If it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later.
When listing, put proof that the product actually works at the very top. This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.
I agree with this. The only thing separating friendship from partnership is a written contract.
A partnership without a payment schedule locks up at the first split. Good luck with that.
You're right. Processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix.

I'd say don't rush. If IP assignment to the company isn't written from the start, it can't be collected later.

Let me speak from the other side; I'm on the supplier side. Most time waste accumulates in tasks waiting for approval.

If I understood correctly, youre saying: The only thing separating friendship from partnership is a written contract.

A small warning: the method shared above should be tested on your own system, not someone else's. Unauthorized testing goes beyond a technical issue.

Timely topic. If IP assignment to the company isn't written from the start, it can't be collected later.
If decision-making authority isn't defined it causes daily issues, not just during exits. Of course it varies if your situation is different.

It's rare to find an explanation this clear. Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once.
