How will my auto repair shop rank higher in local Google search results, I don't know how many competitors are in the city

I own an auto repair shop in Bursa. tbh customers come through traditional means — word of mouth, drive-bys. But when people search 'Bursa auto repair' on Google they don't really see us in the rankings.

Competitor shops seem to look better but I'm sure the quality is equal... What could be the difference? like we opened a Maps profile and put up a shop photo what else do we do?

What are the main topics in auto repair SEO? Is the number of customer reviews or price ads more important?

The Maps profile is the cornerstone of auto repair SEO. List the services performed (oil change, brakes, bodywork, etc.) in the profile. Add photos — car photos, technicians, service area.

Customer reviews are very important — as the number of reviews increases, the Maps ranking goes up. You can put a card at the reception to get reviews from customers.

Have separate pages for services on the website. Like 'Auto Electrical', 'Body Shop', 'Engine Repair'. Each page should contain local keywords.

Do this now: 1. Update your Google Business Profile — list all services 2. Give customers a QR code card — makes it easy to leave reviews 3. Take photos of the work done in the shop (mind privacy) 4. Add a services page to your website 5. Write 1 blog post a month for + points

I've been in the auto repair business for 20 years, I know customer loyalty and review count are everything. If your competitors already have high review counts, good luck — better to join them than compete.

But is it a problem to list prices on an auto repair site? I'm worried competitors might see us in price comparisons.

Use LocalBusiness schema markup. Mark up opening hours, phone, address, services. Google likes it.

This thread is archived. When we decide without measuring, we always end up in the same place.

Exactly, and not many people know this. Solutions that work at a small scale collapse when you grow; I learned this late.

Three different views emerged, they all complement each other. Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way.

A page that answers one question works better than one touching on five topics.

Let me share my experience. Taking notes for two weeks yields better results than a six-month estimate.

Good luck with that.

The answer above hits the nail on the head. Ranking is the result, search intent is the input. Look at intent first.

Just leaving this note, it might be useful.

Thanks, that was the answer I was looking for. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.

Quick summary for newcomers: Merge instead of deleting; deleted content doesn't come back.

Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

There's a part I don't understand. A competitor's ranking might come from years of accumulation not just their content.

Everything goes well for the first three months; problems arise in the fourth. Good luck with that.

There's a trap here, let me mention it. Processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix.

Proven by experience.
