I want to prevent my competitors' ads from showing up when people search for our brand name on Google, how is this done?

our company is known in the market as 'Doki Agency' but anyway when someone types 'Doki Agency' in Google my competitor's ad can show up. this drives me crazy.

do I need to bid on my brand name? btw or is there another way to protect it?

budget is limited but I want to learn how to prevent this loss.

Competitors bidding on brand names is a common issue. You need to run paid ads for 'Brand Keywords' protection in Google Ads.

Protocol: Open a Google Ads campaign for your brand name (low budget is enough). Even if competitors want to show their ads, your ad will appear above theirs.

Second step: Register your brand name with tm (®). Then you can complain to Google — this has legal implications.

we've been dealing with the same problem... there's no other way besides opening a branded campaign in google ads. but it works cheap (500 lira a month)

Brand protection strategy: 1. Open a Google Ads branded campaign 2. Keep it active always 3. Set a budget (can be low) 4. Make the ad say 'Official Site' 5. Add conversion tracking

Activate the 'Brand Licensing' line in Google Ads. When competitors bid on your brand name, you can control them.

Quick steps: 1. Open Google Ads 2. Add branded keyword 3. Write the ad 4. Budget 50 lira per day 5. Set up conversion tracking

I went through the same thing. If it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later.

Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way. That's all, sorry if I went on too long.

Good call starting this thread. Internal linking is the cheapest and most neglected task.

Speed is a threshold issue; if you're already fast, making it faster changes nothing. I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.

Quick summary for newcomers: When you try to change everything at once, nothing settles.

If you post the result here, it will help others too.

Correct. Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once.

Just leaving this note, it might be useful.

We need to make a distinction here. Everyone rushing into protecting brand searches gets stuck at the same point.

Hope this helps.

There's one point I'm curious about. Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once.

Taking notes for two weeks yields better results than a six-month estimate. If I were you, I'd go this route.

I have no experience with protecting brand searches, so I'm asking. A page with low traffic might be reaching the right people. Look at where sales come from.

Good luck with that.

Great work. If it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later.

Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

i have a question. btw when making a decision first look at what data you have on hand.

statr with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once. if you have questions write them; I'll answer as best I can.
