I want to open a jewelry shop, I have a master craftsman but partnership terms are complicated — nobody found it compatible, how did you decide?

i'm thinking of investing in a jeweler, opening a boutique gold shop in ankara. found a master craftsman 15 years experience, hardworking guy. the master says: 'you invest 60k i work profit 50-50'. But as i read more, i learned that jewelry is very risky.

Theft, delivery, safe alarm insurance, tax... Anyone here with partnership experience? The master is good but if the partnership goes bad i'm left with debt. Also gold price changes daily, how will this be calculated?

Statistics: If you hire workers, costs increase by 40%, but output can increase by 60%. Net: +20%.

Start with this structure: make it clear to the customer 'this is how i'll do it', then do it. Good luck.

It's impossible to solve the problem with words. Go, do it, fail, learn. That's the way.

Procedure: First create a written policy. Have the customer sign it. Then implement.

Professional advice: Do process planning. Define the duration of each stage, tell the customer. Good luck.

This thread is archived. If you're offering equity instead of salary, also state what you're offering in return.

Most time waste accumulates in tasks waiting for approval.

I've been dealing with this for a long time. When we decide without measuring, we always end up in the same place.

When making decisions, write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best. I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.

Do you think this works at any scale? When we decide without measuring, we always end up in the same place.

Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently. Proven by experience.

We need to make a distinction here. Processes without records never improve because you don't know what to fix.

There's also a measurement aspect to this. Processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix.

When making decisions write down the worst-case scenario too not just the best. This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

I'd appreciate it if you shared the outcome. When listing, put proof that the product actually works at the very top.

Let me speak from the other side; I'm on the supplier side. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.

When making a decision, first look at what data you have on hand.

Thanks for writing this, that's the right way. When making decisions, write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best.

Do a small three-month project before talking stocks so you see each other... Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

Here's how it went for us. Don't hesitate to ask; those who don't ask always pay more.

The biggest time-waster for us was not knowing who had the final say. Proven by experience.

there is something to wattch out for. like mistakes made on the jeweler business partner side are usually reversible but expensive.

a partnership without a payment schedule locks up at the first split. good luck with that.
