I give discounts on bulk sales but what's the right way without a system?

i have experience with this, gotta say: discount policy depends on a few factors. gather the data first, don't make emotional decisions.
technically speaking: there are two main factors in discount policy decisions. cost-benefit and risk management. make decisions based on data.

But what is the real risk? Will the business close if this choice is wrong? I'm saying this so you're very careful.
another perspective: maybe the core issue with discount policy is something else. think about it like this...

How did you solve this? btw the real issue isn't the number but what it's based on.
Correct me if Im wrong.

There's a common mistake people make when doing this. tbh hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.
Of course it varies if your situation is different.
We experienced almost the exact same thing last year. anyway everyone rushing into discount policy gets stuck at the same point.
Hope this helps.

There's a trap here, let me mention it. When making decisions write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best.
If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.
the most overlooked point about discount policy is this: A two-week notebok guides you more than a six-month forecast.
if I were you, Id go this route.

I've been dealing with this for a long time. Finding a new customer is more expensive than keeping an existing one.
Calculate how many months you can survive without revenue, then halve that number. Proven by experience.
I agree with this. Solutions that work at a small scale collapse when you grow; I learned this late.
If you post the result here it will help others too.
We need to make a distinction here. The real issue isn't the number, but what it's based on.
When we decide without measuring, we always end up in the same place. honestly correct me if I'm wrong.
