This position looks good but if you need to add relocation costs the salary might be a bit low. My advice: set the starting salary at 7500-9000, then give bonuses based on performance. Experienced designers like this model, it becomes more attractive.

bro it's hard to find experienced people at this salary but if an interior designer has 5-6 years of experience they want 8-10k. if you ask for 3 years at the start you might find someone for 6-7k but their portfolio might be weak

Add to the job posting: 1- Salary range (6000-8000), 2- Benefits (health insurance, transit pass), 3- Career development (training opportunities), 4- Work environment (team size), 5- Portfolio requirements. Detailed postings like this attract better candidates.

I'm curious: how much travel burden the interior designer can tolerate. '2-3 sites a month' is fine if they can handle it, but if it becomes 4-5 you'll need to raise the salary. Just so you know.

Let me share what happened to me; it might be useful. When you try to change everything at once, nothing settles.

If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong. Proven by experience.

thees a trap here, let me mention it and i mean just because everyone does it doesnt mean its right.

processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix. if you have questions write them; I'll answer as best I can.

Let me summarize the topic, since several different answers were given. Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

This approach has a cost, which isn't discussed. If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong.

That's all, sorry if I went on too long.

I agree with this. Do a small three-month project before talking stocks, so you see each other.

The cheap-looking path usually ends up costing more later. If you're offering equity instead of salary, also state what you're offering in return.

I'd say don't rush. If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong.

I'll try it. The only thing separating friendship from partnership is a written contract.

my perspective chaanged after experiencing that. a partnership without a payment schedule locks up at the first split.

im also curious if anyone does it differently.

Let me speak from the other side; I'm on the supplier side. The answer varies greatly by industry; there is no one-size-fits-all rule.

People defend habits, not processes. Resistance comes from there. This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

My perspective changed after experiencing that. If you don't write this down from the start, it leads to arguments later.
