we're a consultancy with 4 services. we wrote a page for each but the seo expert said 'these pages are too weak'. we couldn't figure out what we did wrong.

i don't know the order of heading, paragraph, list, image... what should the copy look like to engage customers?

should we structure them as subpages of the site or as blog posts?

service page structure: h1 heading (service name + why), short description, problem-solution benefits (bulleted), customer stories, price range cta, faq.

never write generically. instead of 'we do consulting' say 'we increase conversion rates by 40% for your e-commerce sites'.

images are crucial. add customer testimonial photos (with consent), process visuals, result photos. text + image combo converts most people.

ideal service page structure: - heading (service + benefit) - hook (problem solution) - steps (how it works) - benefits - price - customer review - cta

adding servicearea schema markup is very important. mark the service name, description, price range, area.

just thought of something important - put a video at the top of the page? like we did, time on page tripled

doesn't putting prices on the service page reduce the chance of customers leaving early?

quick fix: add a customer story with an h2 heading to each service page. use real stories like 'how this service helped me'.

The discussion got scattered, let me summarize. Taking notes for two weeks yields better results than a six-month estimate.

If you have questions write them; I'll answer as best I can.

If I understood correctly, you're saying: If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong.

The real issue isn't the number, but what it's based on. Good luck with that.

I'd say don't rush. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.

The answer varies greatly by industry; there is no one-size-fits-all rule. If I were you I'd go this route.

I'm a small business let me explain from my side. Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's right.

When making decisions write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best. Hope this helps.

Great work. The real issue isn't the number, but what it's based on.

You're right. A page with low traffic might be reaching the right people. Look at where sales come from.

The most overlooked point about how to write a service page is this: Discussing numbers without verifying the measurement setup is a waste of time.

Of course, it varies if your situation is different.

Quick summary for newcomers: Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's right.

I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.
