We have 3-4 H1 headings on every page — is that too few or too many? How many is correct for SEO?

I had 3 h1s too, then changed them to h2. I didnt see much difference in terms of SEO but it seems technically correct. The structure looks cleaner.

one h1 is enough. make the otheer headings h2 h3. google won't get confused.
