Google review count and rating are the most important factors for local search ranking (after Domain Authority). A good review profile = higher visibility.
Ways to get reviews: 1) Organic (happy customer does it spontaneously) — best. 2) Email reminder — 'Leave us a review' — within permission scope. 3) SMS — short link. 4) QR code — at the location. 5) Incentive — risky (against Google's rules).
I had 10 reviews with 2 stars it was low. Then we sent a review request to our email list, got 40 reviews in 3 months (4.3 stars)... The ranking rose significantly in local search.
google review ranking effect is high. get organic reviews. btw incentives are risky but email is ok.
Review Collection Strategy: 1. Email: request in post-purchase message 2. SMS: link in transactional message 3. QR code: at the location (receipt, counter) 4. NPS survey: direct 'good' responses to Google 5. Avoid: incentives (Google is against it) 6. Respond: to all reviews (positive+negative)
Email template: 'How was your experience? [Google Review Link] — takes 30 seconds, you'd be helping us.' Short + direct. Send 2-3 times a month (so it doesn't look like spam).

If you're going this route sort this out first. btw map listings bring more business than blog posts for most local businesses.
Correct me if Im wrong.
I was thinking the same thing. When making decisions, write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best.
I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.
There's one point I'm curious about. Don't trust anyone who gives guarantees; there are no guarantees in this business.
Of course, it varies if your situation is different.
Quick summary for newcomers: Speed is a threshold issue; if you're already fast, making it faster changes nothing.

Let me speak from the other side; I'm on the supplier side. Solutions that work at a small scale collapse when you grow; I learned this late.

The discussion got scattered let me summarize. Internal linking is the cheapest and most neglected task.
If I were you, I'd go this route.
Exactly like that. The biggest time-waster for us was not knowing who had the final say.
The harder it is to reverse a decision, the slower you should make it. Hope this helps.
Let me share my experience. If it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later.
