initially 80 lira/hour. In year 2, team experience and quality increased. I raised it to 160 lira/hour. Lost 60% of clients but the remaining ones are happy.
I doubled my prices when quality improved — what did clients say?

Price increases should be gradual. Slowly like 30% → 50% → 100%. A sudden 100% increase is a mistake if you lose clients.

We experienced almost the exact same thing last year. When we decide without measuring, we always end up in the same place.
I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.

Exactly, and not many people know this. Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later as both sides remember it differently.

I've been dealing with this for a long time. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I agree. If the gap between accounts receivable and accounts payable turnover days is widening, revenue won't save you.
I'm also curious if anyone does it differently.
I'm a small business, let me explain from my side. Solutions that work at a small scale collapse when you grow; I learned this late.
Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently. This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

There's a trap here, let me mention it. If you don't write this down from the start, it leads to arguments later.

I went through the same thing two years ago. Delaying bad news is the habit that causes the most losses in this job.
Extending terms makes customers happy but turns you into a financing institution.

Exactly, and not many people know this. Pausing growth to breathe is also a strategy, nobody says that.
If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong.
Could you elaborate on that? Solutions that work at a small scale collapse when you grow; I learned this late.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Let me summarize the topic, since several different answers were given. Everything goes well for the first three months; problems arise in the fourth.
