foreign client (Euro). quoted: 5000 Euro. When the rate dropped, income in TL went from 25k to 20k. I took a loss.

For foreign pricing: 1) Quote with a fixed rate (e.g. 1 Euro = 30 TL). 2) Link payment to the rate at the time of payment. 3) To reduce risk, hold Euro or Dollar (in account).

Let me speak from the other side; I'm on the supplier side. If you don't write this down from the start, it leads to arguments later.

If I were you, I'd go this route.

The opposite happened to me thats why Im writing. Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.

Proven by experience.

Three different views emerged, they all complement each other. When making decisions, write down the worst-case scenario too, not just the best.

If I were you, I'd go this route.

Let me share my experience. Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's right.

If it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later.

There's a part I don't understand. Looking profitable on paper but having no cash in the bank is very common.

Hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later. If I were you, I'd go this route.

My perspective changed after experiencing that. Mistakes made on the pricing with exchange rates side are usually reversible but expensive.

If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.

I felt relieved reading this answer, so it's not just me. If you get three different answers on a topic the question was asked wrong.

Of course it varies if your situation is different.

I have a question. If you get three different answers on a topic, the question was asked wrong.

Just leaving this note, it might be useful.

Let me share what happened to me; it might be useful. Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently.

Start with a small trial; don't commit to everything at once. This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

I went through the same thing two years ago. Mistaking revenue for cash is the most expensive illusion; trust the bank account.

That's all sorry if I went on too long.

How did you solve this? When making a decision, first look at what data you have on hand.

Hope this helps.

I'm writing this so you don't make the same mistake. The longer you delay cutting the team, the more people it affects.

Any unwritten clause becomes a point of disagreement later, as both sides remember it differently.
