Finding direct customers is slow. I sold to dealers, dealers sell to the end customer. Growth accelerated 5x.

A dealer network increases sales speed but also causes loss of control. The right choice depends on product type and margin.

the most overlooked point about building a dealer network is this: Looking profitable on paper but having no cash in the bank is very common.

cutting your own salary is a temporary tactic; if it lasts more than six months someting will break... proven by experience.

You're right, I've been down that road too. Mistakes made on the building a dealer network side are usually reversible but expensive.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Exactly and not many people know this. Don't hesitate to ask; those who don't ask always pay more.

This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

Let me clarify the technical side. When you try to change everything at once nothing settles.

I'm in the same situation, that's why I'm asking. Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's right.

This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

I think differently. The reason for failure isn't one big mistake, but the accumulation of small decisions.

Hope this helps.

Let me summarize the topic, since several different answers were given. Looking profitable on paper but having no cash in the bank is very common.

Good luck with that.

we experienced almost the exact same thing last year. hasty decisions become decisions you have to fix six months later.

cutting your own salary is a temporary tactic; if it lasts more than six months, something will break.

Timely topic... The moment you depend on a single client, you no longer set the price.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that's exactly how it is with building a dealer network. Processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix.

Cutting your own salary is a temporary tactic; if it lasts more than six months, something will break. If you have questions, write them; I'll answer as best I can.

I've been down this road, let me tell you. Everyone rushing into building a dealer network gets stuck at the same point.

Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I feel the same way. Extending terms makes customers happy but turns you into a financing institution.

If it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later. This is my opinion, I'm not claiming it's absolute truth.

My question might sound amateurish, sorry about that. like if it's your first time, start small; scaling comes later.

That's all sorry if I went on too long.

I'm a small business, let me explain from my side. Extending terms makes customers happy but turns you into a financing institution.

If you post the result here, it will help others too.

The discussion got scattered, let me summarize. Most time waste accumulates in tasks waiting for approval.

Processes without records never improve, because you don't know what to fix. Just leaving this note it might be useful.
