Instagram ad account restricted and appeals led nowhere: How to remove the restriction?

We are an e-commerce boutique selling women's clothing. We were regularly running ads on Instagram with an average monthly budget of 45,000 TL, and almost all of our online orders were coming directly from these campaigns. Last Monday, without any policy violation warning whatsoever, we saw that our ad account was disabled and our right to request a review had been restricted.

We submitted appeal forms twice by uploading ID documents, both from within the app and via Business Manager. However, five days have passed and we still haven't received any response. The dashboard constantly shows 'in review requested', and the live support button isn't active on our account. Since our campaigns are paused, orders have completely dried up.

What other official routes can we take to lift this ad restriction? Would opening a new ad account and linking the same credit card and website trigger the system even more, and what path should we follow to speed up the process?

Short answer: If you submitted an appeal form and got no response, stop sending appeals back-to-back; duplicate requests push you further back in the queue or get flagged by bot filters. To resolve the current restriction you need to get the billing support channel unlocked via the business portal and proceed through official channels without putting your domain and payment method at risk.

Follow these steps to remove the restriction: First, check the business verification inside the main Business Manager tied to the restricted account. Your company's tax certificate, trade registry gazette, and official address must match your business info to the letter. If these documents are missing, complete the company verification step first. Second, if live support doesn't appear on your dashboard add another user with a clean account history as an admin to your Business Manager. On this new admin's account the live chat button under the 'Still need help?' section on the 'Meta Business Help Center' page might be active. Once you reach live support, clearly state that 'you did not violate any policy, are requesting a manual review and are suffering commercial losses due to halted ad spend.' Third, under no circumstances should you rush to open a new ad account using the same website URL and credit card. The system's algorithm will instantly match you through domain and card data restricting the new account within minutes for 'suspicious activity.' You need to patiently see the appeal through via the existing account's billing and business verification channels.

Don't even think about opening a new account right now. If you link the same website URL to a new account, that one will be shut down within half an hour too. The algorithm blacklists the domain history and payment method, so don't create a new account before solving the root issue.

happened to us last month too honestly sends you into a full panic because sales just drop off a cliff overnight. nothing happened on the dashboard for two weeks, then out of nowhere one morning we got a notification saying the restriction was lifted but tbh seriously nerve-wracking process.

To solve a similar restriction, we opened a small test account with a 100 TL spend from a clean personal profile tied to the company. That made the live chat button pop up on the dashboard. About 36 hours after giving our case number to the support rep, the restriction on the main account was lifted.

Never skip these three rules during the appeal process: 1) The ID photo you upload must clearly show all four corners with zero glare. 2) Make two-factor authentication mandatory for all employees in Business Manager. 3) Never submit more than one appeal form per day while the restriction is ongoing.

Pretty much nobody gets a positive response through the form anymore. The entire system has been handed over to AI. If you can't get live support opened on your dashboard, you'll most likely be waiting months for an answer to that form.

Even the slightest mismatch between the company title on your tax certificate and the billing name on the ad account can trigger a restriction. Make sure that the official information on your e-commerce site's distance sales agreement and contact page matches the data on your ad account down to the letter.

have u checked the product images on the site at all, in apparel anything that looks like a before-and-after or shows too much skin can get u banned instantly by the AI.

edit: fixed a few typos.

ID appeals submitted before completing business verification with an official tax certificate usually get flat-out rejected by bots.

I'm a small business let me explain from my side. Updating an existing page yields faster results than creating a new one.

Correct. Speed is a threshold issue; if you're already fast making it faster changes nothing.

I'm in the same situation that's why I'm asking. Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way.

You're right. Ranking is the result search intent is the input. Look at intent first.

Don't hesitate to ask; those who don't ask always pay more. That's all, sorry if I went on too long.

I disagree with you on this point. Mistakes made on the removing ad restrictions side are usually reversible but expensive.

That's all, sorry if I went on too long.

I went through the same thing two years ago. The biggest time-waster for us was not knowing who had the final say.

If I were you, I'd go this route.

I'm curious too. The harder it is to reverse a decision the slower you should make it.

Hope this helps.
