We are a mid-sized business selling commercial kitchen equipment via e-commerce. We've been working with the same digital marketing agency for about 3 years and our monthly ad spend hovers around 120,000 TL. Due to recent communication breakdowns and missing our targets, we signed with a new agency and decided to part ways with our current one.
However, when we notified them of the termination the agency rep claimed that the Google Ads account was created under their corporate manager account (MCC) so they cannot transfer it directly to us. They said they could only link it to the new agency's manager account, or that we'd have to close this account and start completely from scratch. But this account holds 3 years of conversion history optimized audience data, and thousands of negative keywords we've accumulated.
The new agency, on the other hand, is insisting that we take direct ownership under our own company email address. How do we technically complete this account transfer without losing historical data, quality scores, and campaign structures? What should I formally request in writing from the outgoing agency during contract termination and handover?
