We are a 9-person B2B software company developing cloud-based accounting and preliminary accounting integrations. We want to consistently feed the blog section on our website to guide prospective clients and rank higher in organic search. We're planning 8 to 10 industry-specific articles a month.

We posted listings on freelance platforms and social channels; the quotes we've received range anywhere from 25 kuruş to 2.50 TL per word. Some say they will just write and deliver whatever title we give them, while others say they'll analyze search intent and map out the heading hierarchy themselves.

What exactly does an SEO content writer do, and what sets them apart from a standard copywriter? How do you brief a writer properly, and what criteria should I use to check whether the delivered content genuinely meets search engine standards and quality requirements?

Short answer: An SEO content writer is a specialist who structures a given topic around the target audience's search intent, builds a technical heading hierarchy, and crafts the copy with semantic depth that search engines can easily understand. Unlike a standard copywriter, their job isn't just writing elegant or informative prose; it's engineering an information architecture that directly solves the searcher's query.

To make the process efficient, your brief should give the writer more than just keywords: define the target audience (e.g., certified public accountants), the exact problem the piece needs to solve, competitor articles to review, and an outline of subheadings. Ask the writer not just to hit a word count, but to include a concrete example or practical comparison table that top-ranking page-one results leave out.

When doing quality control, don't obsess over keyword density; check these three things: 1) Does the piece clearly answer the user's core question in the first two paragraphs? 2) Do the subheadings (H2, H3) follow a logical progression of user questions, or are they just random? 3) Does it read like generic, unvetted AI fluff used as filler? Since you're in a technical B2B niche, rock-bottom per-word rates will almost always get you shallow articles out of touch with real-world industry practice.

Use a standardized brief template when assigning work to a writer. It should include: primary keyword, secondary terms, target persona, target word count, internal linking requirements, and any technical jargon to avoid.

Almost everyone bidding 25-30 kuruş a word just types a single prompt into an AI tool and copy-pastes the output. In a zero-tolerance field like accounting regulations, those articles will completely wreck your brand's credibility.

On the B2B fintech side, we hired a specialized writer around 1.20 TL per word. We pay about 9.600 TL a month for 8 articles. After six months, our organic inbound demo requests jumped from 12 to 47 per month. Cheap content isn't a cost saver, it's pure wasted time.

Before hiring anyone, pay them to do a 500-word test piece. Pick a tricky topic from current regulations. That's the best way to see how well they cite sources and handle industry terminology.

accounting is super tricky tbh. if someone writes it without even knowing the difference between e-fatura and e-arşiv any sme owner reading will bounce immediately. find a writer with technical domain knowledge.

If you want a long-term relationship with a writer, establish a solid feedback loop. If you clearly explain what you changed and why on the first two drafts everything gets ten times easier from the third piece onward.

Run this checklist on every delivery: 1) Are headings framed around questions and solutions? 2) Are paragraphs short enough for mobile readability? 3) Are there factual errors or outdated regulatory references?

There are still people out there who think SEO means stuffing 3% keyword density into an article like it's 2010. Neither search engines nor human readers fall for that stuff anymore.

I've been dealing with this for a long time. Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way.

Valuation methods for exits must be defined by formula; "market value" isn't enough.

I agree with this. Trying to do this alone is the most expensive way.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Generally correct, but one part is missing. anyway processes without records never improve, because you dont know what to fix.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct in theory, but it doesn't work that way in practice. The only thing separating friendship from partnership is a written contract.

A partnership without a payment schedule locks up at the first split. Of course, it varies if your situation is different.
